Three Origins. A Single Goal
Tech n Tack’s goods and services grew out of problems encountered, questions asked, and lessons accumulated over decades with horses. Barding™, Avec Justesse™, and Perceptive PEMF originated from very different places, but all followed the same path. Once began with skin care, one with horsemanship, and one with technology. But all three looked to the horse for the answer.

Inspired by the search for reliable comfort against the grueling Floridian climate.
Years of trying to help horses with skin problems, Karine stopped searching for the next best thing and returned to the problem itself. Drawing on decades with horses, advanced biological degrees, and years of R&D, the answer eventually became horse armor.

Avec Justesse™
The horsemanship came first. The name came much later.
For years, Karine had been teaching riders to notice the small breakdowns in balance, time, communication, and feel that others often overlooked. Only later did research into her French equestrian roots reveal a remarkedly ordinary word that had been describing that quality all along: justesse.

Perceptive PEMF
It began with skepticism, chronic pain, and an injured horse.
Karine already knew people were using PEMF with horses—and largely dismissed it as another fad. Then three weeks of intense sciatica, an injured horse, and an unexpected conversation changed the trajectory. What began as something se tried for herself eventually became another way of listening to the horse.
